Dear Friend of Fair Hill Therapeutic Riding Center, On behalf of FHTRC, I am reaching out to ask for your support once again in our 2nd annual “Swing for the Hill” Golf Tournament to help individuals that are differently abled to reach their “PEAK” potential. The tournament is graciously hosted by Cricket Hill Golf Club located at 176 Cricket Hill Rd, Hawley, PA 18428. This year the event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024. Please support “Swing for the Hill” fundraising event to help our participants reach the top of their potential. Fair Hill has a proud tradition of providing Equine Assisted Services in Therapeutic Horsemanship and Learning. The Therapeutic Horsemanship program serves children and adults with developmental, cognitive, emotional/social, and physical disabilities. This program utilizes the movement of the horse to develop the rider’s muscle strength, balance, and cognition. We work to create a supportive, judgement-free environment to foster independence and promote self-expression and self-esteem. The new Stable Moments community mentorship program is designed for children and youth in foster care and adopted from foster care who have experienced early developmental trauma. The goal of the program is to develop skills for healthy transition into adulthood. As a 501(c)3, tax-exempt organization, our practice is to never turn anyone away due to financial need. Your sponsorship will provide funding so ALL can participate in our programs. Along with financial assistance for those in need, your sponsorship will help to offset the gap between the actual cost of a lesson and what is charged for a lesson. To keep our prices affordable, it is necessary to fundraise to pay for operating costs not covered by the lesson fees. In doing that you are helping FHTRC to be in the position to develop unique programs utilizing Equine Assisted Services that meet each participant’s individual needs. Thank you. Your financial support will help more children and adults with diverse abilities from our local area gain access to beneficial programs offered at Fair Hill Therapeutic Riding Center. None of the work that we do in serving individuals with disabilities and their families would be possible without the continued generosity of our community and friends. We love what we do, and our goal is for all our participants to “Reach the top of their abilities.” Sincerely, Sally Wasylyk President Board of Director |
